She could feel her eyelids sweating
Checking once more to make sure
Horror seeps before it lingers
Creeping slowly under tables
Hate hates for you to notice
Lick lips hopeless
Don’t wait for love to seek
For a moment, many moments
Pour a brain to save your
Mothering games
Make up on your ideal cure
Eating words to memorize
Peeling somehow, laugh out loud
To reveal a bigger window
Quietly scream, do the right thing
Pour a brain to save your
Mothering games
Make up on your ideal cure
Cloud ear,
Imagining you are fine here,
A wonderful thing vomits
Fleeting the stillness of panic
Wilted, they’re peeling all over it
Rosy, drip and dropping for a
Promise of a story without burning
Bye blossom
They took you away from
Your favourite sour gum
Left in a rush, flowering dust
Bye blossom
Don’t look honey, stay inside the rice bowl
Eat them all or you will be alone
One day you’ll see you’re not quite the same as them
A salty yolk inside a cake of red
Swimming under the missing pool
Smiles behind the vines to ridicule
Where the raw delight passes through glassy eyes
Wonder if she’ll feel the same
Don’t drink faster spit it out
On the counter-clockwise
Lying on a jelly lime
Limelight
Tight dumpling with woman inside
That’s waiting to tear in two
Swimming under the missing pool
Smiles behind the vines to ridicule
Where the raw delight passes through glassy eyes
Wonder if she’ll feel the same
Why did you drool on me to make you feel ok?
Why did you throw the bible at my head?
It wept
Go on
Tonight today
Don’t let them undo you
Take the ache away
Skin so tight but baby you’ll be alright
Always told to be polite, dancing in your disguise
Don’t hide yourself inside memories of frozen faces
Are they still so cold?
Don’t hide your bloodied cake
Inside your face
Go on
Tonight today
Don’t let them under you again
Take the ache away
Skin so tight but baby you’ll be alright
Always told to be polite, dancing in your disguise

Sonic Youth is one of those bands where you easily run out of superlatives to describe what they created. This could've easily come off as a cynical cash-grab by a band that had broken up 11 years prior to the release of this record, but that's not what this is. Some of my favourite Sonic Youth instrumentals. sentient meat
