1.
Pardon me Return my eyes So l can see Who wouldn't help Guardian angels With clipped wings You can try to plant stories in spit Sore bear Don't feed them your whispers Excuse me I dismember words You won't believe How much they can hurt Fallen angels Trying to fly from Sore bears Don't feed them your whispers They try to plant stories in my They try to plant stories in my spit Sore bear Don't feed them your whispers
2.
Talk to death Ask them where is best To pawn a lover's gift That was never blessed And walk with loss Ask them what's the cost Of making kindness cry The kind I always tried Oooh, evil eats the holy Oooh, evil eats the holy When you arrive Send me an email Tell me if you like hell Said you didn't wanna grow up Scared you couldn't keep your head up Oooh, evil eats the holy Oooh, evil eats the holy Talk to death Ask them where is best
3.
Blank hospital ward To say goodbye Then you're gone Gave up holding on To skin that let you down I hold dear Don't be scared Of the life left behind Young forever our best friend Your smiles filled jars Moving on To the still To the still
4.
I call all my friends This afternoon Holding all our hands With super glue Feeding broken hearts Inside our swords Healing every hit point Before the kill Favor nervous voices With no reply Strengthen every silk thread Watch demons die I'll call all my friends This afternoon
5.
Cry laughing gas The roots are kissing over me Pull hearts apart Limb from Limb from limb Feel the bruises Changing shape You're the ghost with a peach skin Bitter melon dies Takes you to See the ghost with a peach skin Hope medicates I know you've not been feeling great Pulling apart Limb from Limb from limb Feel the bruises Changing shape You're the ghost with a peach skin Bitter melon dies Takes you to See the ghost with a peach skin See the ghost See the ghost Feel the bruises Changing shape You're the ghost with a peach skin Bitter melon dies Takes you to See the ghost with a peach skin
6.
I open the paint that tried to dry my love To the faint sounds of the flies we're dreaming of The dog sat there And everywhere The smell of muddy air Terrify a hotel packaged mini soap Satisfied with farewells dressed as embryos Cleaning the mud From my lungs Singing hymns of Nothing Try to go now Cleaning the mud From my lungs Singing hymns of Nothing Try to go now Cleaning the mud From my lungs Singing hymns of Nothing Try to go now
7.
Words you're scared to mouth Hidden in your lungs Tears in leather bags Whisper in mother tongues Mum, you faked a smile But I've known for a while Don't need to forgive you For something you don't mean to do Dragon in your soup Breathing the heartache Educate the a(u)nts You can talk to me it's not too late Mum, you faked a smile But I've known for a while Don't need to forgive you For something you don't mean to do

about

mui zyu’s Rotten Bun for an Eggless Century (Expansion Pack) is a collection of reimagined productions of mui zyu’s debut album by an illustrious spectrum of East and South East Asian producers from around the world. These reworked pieces wander between ambient and fourth world (Lucy Liyou, Flora Yin-Wong, LI YILEI) to industrial and art pop (Mini Trees, kelz, Helen Ganya, Anise), exhibiting an eclectic range mirroring mui zyu’s own tastes.

On the collection Liu says, “I am so lucky to have this opportunity to work with this amazing collective of creatives who I admire so much. As this Expansion Pack came together, portals between the songs’ meanings and these producers’ worlds opened, deepening my own understanding of the original record. It’s also been wonderful celebrating these producers of East and South Asian heritage.”
